What is CPR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation?

A technique designed to temporarily circulate oxygenated blood through the body of a person whose heart has stopped.



Chain of Survival

*Early Access – Call 911 and get an AED*

*Early CPR – Begin cardiopulmonary resuscitation*

*Early Defibrillation – Use of an automated external defibrillator*

*Early Advanced Care – Getting the patient transferred to a higher level of care, such as paramedics and the closest appropriate hospital. *
